| EcoXergy is an independent business providing energy and carbon management services, with powerful analysis tools, to cut the carbon footprints and energy costs of commercial and residential buildings and improve their financial bottom line consistent with a zero-carbon future. We provide home energy assessments, in partnership with Building Insight Technologies, to help homeowners qualify for federal and provincial grants and incentives of up to $12,000 towards their home renovation projects. Our Business Engagement in Climate and Technology (BECT) team works with businesses to systematically assess and optimally combine the economical, environmental and social feasibility of technical, organizational and behavioral changes in order to identify and implement the most effective energy efficiency measures. Our ‘plan-do-check-act’ approach is proven to increase competitiveness and profitability by reducing energy cost by 20-25% and comply with increasingly stringent climate regulations. During the first phase, our BECT team establishes client’s technical, organizational and behavioral baselines. The team determines the carbon footprint and assesses the energy management performance using a proprietary rating protocol. Based on these baselines, our BECT team identifies and prioritizes potential technical, organizational and behavioral improvements, in the second phase, using a feasibility analysis that takes financial, environmental and social aspects into account. Depending on client’s needs, the BECT team provides one-on-one technical support for the actual implementation of the selected improvements. Once selected improvements have been implemented, our BECT team conducts a new technical, organizational and behavioral assessment, in the third phase, to verify the effectiveness of the changes. In the fourth phase, our BECT team provides customized training and guidance. This is aimed at ensuring a cycle of continuous improvement in the organization so that the energy performance will continue to be enhanced after completion of the service.
